Co-curricular and Extra curricular activities
The school fosters a high degree of competence in several co-curricular and extra curricular activities. Weekly debates, recitations, dramatics and quiz programmes are conducted on inter-house basis
Clubs and Work Experience
To enable a child to develop in areas other than the academic, according to his/her aptitude, he/she can join one or the other of the clubs the school has:
The Literary Club, The Science Club, The Art & Craft Club, The Electronics Club, The Needle Work Club, etc.
Scouting, Guiding, and Duke of Edinburgh Youth Award Scheme are also available.
Games & Sports
Physical Education is compulsory for all children. Every morning they undergo physical training before the commencement of the day’s activities. Each evening, various skills in playing all major games are taught. The school has a number of play grounds for all major games, including Cricket, Hockey, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-kho and Tennis. Besides these, indoor games like Shuttle Badminton, Table-Tennis, Carroms and Chess are also available.
The school has an indoor heated swimming pool, the first of its kind in the Nilgiris, which provides the children with a further dimension of activities.
The Hobbies available to the children include philately, photography, coin and specimen collection, typing, painting, toy making , needlework, knitting, craft work, book binding and creative writing.
The school offers music, piano, guitar, band and Indian classical and folk dance lessons to augment the children’s interests.
Fortnightly outings, hikes and field trips, occasional camps and study tours are organised to enable the children to explore and to learn by experience.
The School Cabinet
In an effort to develop the leadership qualities in the student, the School Cabinet is elected every year through a democratic process. The leaders are in charge of discipline. They also take care of all the other activities of the Institution and assist the teachers in the organization and execution of the school programmes.
The whole school gathers together for devotion which is led by the teachers as well as the students. After receiving God's blessings the children proceed to the classrooms.
THE AUDITORIUM is a multipurpose hall measuring 120' x 50' which is used for all school programmes. It also houses three indoor Shuttle Badminton courts and Table Tennis Boards. The children can play Basketball when the Badminton Courts are not in use.
